LUS e-Account Terms & Conditions Credit Card Payments: By choosing to pay your bill on this site using a credit card number, you hereby authorize Lafayette Utilities System ("LUS"), in conjunction with its e-Account Online services, to initiate a debit entry to your credit card account, on the account issued by the credit card issuing institution named in this authorization (the "Credit Card Company"), for this one-time payment of your LUS bill as indicated above. You further authorize the Credit Card Company to deduct this one-time payment from your account. You understand that LUS will note this transaction as pending payment until funds are secured from the Credit Card Company. You further understand that in the event LUS is unable to secure the funds for this transaction from your account with the Credit Card Company for any reason, including but not limited to insufficient credit limit for your account or insufficient or inaccurate information provided by you for the credit card account, further collection action may be undertaken by LUS including any action for penalties or additional fees, including attorney's fees and collection expenses, as may be permitted by law. You further understand that dishonor of a credit card payment or other abuse of this payment option may lead to revocation of your use of this payment type without further notice.
E-Check Payments: By choosing to pay your bill on this site using a checking account number and bank routing number, you hereby authorize Lafayette Utilities System ("LUS"), in conjunction with its e-Account Online services, to initiate a debit entry to your checking account, on the account issued by the financial institution named in this authorization (the “Bank”), for this one-time payment of your LUS bill as indicated above. You further authorize the Bank to deduct this one-time payment from your account. You understand that LUS will note this transaction as pending payment until funds are secured from the Bank. You further understand that in the event LUS is unable to secure the funds for this transaction from your account with the Bank for any reason, including but not limited to insufficient funds for your account or insufficient or inaccurate information provided by you for the checking account, further collection action may be undertaken by LUS including any action for penalties or additional fees, including attorney's fees and collection expenses, as may be permitted by law. You further understand that dishonor of an e-check payment or other abuse of this payment option may lead to revocation of your use of this payment type without further notice. Electronic Document Disclosure: You may access your LUS account(s) to obtain account information, including monthly billing and usage information, by use of the LUS e-Account Online system and you may print or download all such account information from your computer. You may also obtain information about your LUS account by contacting the LUS Customer Service Center at (337) 291-8280 or by visiting one of the LUS Customer Service Centers (located at 705 W. University Ave. and 1875 W. Pinhook Rd. Suite B) where a LUS representative will assist you.
